Yes we had, I was already part of it, I suscribed to the mailing list a
long time ago.
We had reached them via email, and now I did via /users:Argentina/ forum.
I'm in the process of doing so in the other hispanic/latinamerican
forums as well.
Regarding nearby HOTties (wouldnt HOTites be better? :P), how could I
reach them?

organization of the FOSS4G Buenos Aires 2013, which will be held

Estoy involucrado en la organización de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires
FOSS4G 2013, que se celebrará abril 24 a 26. Como ustedes saben,
FOSS4G significa Sofware libre de código abierto para la
geomática, que es sin duda una categoría principal de HOT :)
Nosotros realmente apreciamos haber representado HOT y su palabra
difundida, por lo que los invitamos a hacerlo.
Además, estamos planeando un mapa-a-thon, así que supongo que una
consigna HOT podría ser una buena opción!
