Nicolas Chavent has just completed the second mission of four for the Espace
francophone project and this second team is in operation.

Like in Togo, partnership was developped with some FabLab and OpenSource
groups. A pilot zone was selected for people to learn OSM technics. In this
zone, field work was done and data integrated into the OSM database.
In two weeks, various groups from the civil society and government were met.

In Togo, a group was started this week to think about solutions to map for
emergencies and see how government agencies and civil society could collaborate
in the context of Togo limited access to internet. University internet labs
could be solution to meet and communicate with the broader HOT community.

Below is the link to an interesting Photo that shows how we can adapt in Togo
with limited ressources. Old computer parts where assembled to produce an
amazing computers called Jerries babies. Yes, these were assembled in a jerry
can. Amazing project!

During these two weeks, the Support team has started to translate the LearnOsm
documentation for the Intermediate section from english to french. This will
provide the needed learning material to the field teams that deploy in west
Africa.

More to come in the Blog update of Burkina Faso. But first, we need a volunteer
to translate the Blog  2 pages text from french to english.
