Have validated some and bounced some back for various reasons which I included in the comment. Two points I noticed that I thought I'd raise but didn't feel I could invalidate for:

1. There are no source tags added to anything?
2. Some people have tagged a building with an Amenity tag and added a POI with the same amentiy tag in the centre of the area. I know there was a tendency in the past to tag like this and one might add a POI in the centre of a building when there is multiple use but I see no reason to double tag?

Hi Hjart,

Sorry about that. Basically we are practicing validating today in our
class. I think the issue was that a lot of people were validating
tasks that weren't done, there isn't a good way of checking squares
that are already validating.

I will talk to the person that sent you the message, I think there was
just a misunderstanding.

Best,

I went through, well, a large number of tasks, validating them according to
your request and just now discovered this pm:

Have-not known who you are, but please stop validating our tasks.
you know it'll take time to unlock them. That's strongly effect to our job.
So please. dont be like that
thank you.

I understand if some may have been disheartened by the number of tasks I threw
back in the queue, but did I do anything wrong?

Thanks

Hi Jonathan,

We are using an offset of: -4.66; 31.26

I updated the task as well with this information.

Thanks,

OK, can see it now. Is there an offset I should be using? Should I just
align to what has been mapped and trust that?

Hi All,

Sorry about that I had typo'd the imagery link and we hadn't noticed
here because we already entered the imagery URL as part of training in
class before using the tasking manager.

Please try again.

I'm getting errors in JOSM too. I've accepted the terms, and launching
the imagery (via the url click) adds the layer to JOSM, but the layer
is just big red blocks with occasional black "ERROR". Any suggestions?

I spoke to soon.

In iD, Is it a drawn layer, like tiles from a rendered OSM map? I can
see
that, but then I see streets drawn on top with nothing underneath.
Not
seeing a satellite layer.

And in JOSM I see only errors.

Hi Alex,

Click the workflow button on the Tasking Manager site - you then get
the
imagery agreement to accept - click workflow again and it gives you
the
URL
and some JOSM instructions.

Cheers, Joseph

Where is that?

I am in iD, looking at Backgrounds, I don't see a checkbox. I
selected
the Vietnam layer.

Can I see it in JOSM?

Agree that you will just use the imagery for mapping in OSM by
clicking the license agreement (though more of a request than a
license), then it will show you the URL.

Hi All,

I've been working in Hai Phong, Vietnam for the past week and a
half
with the Vietnam Maritime University. Our goal is to map all the
streets in Hai Phong. Today the team finished digitizing from the
tasking manager.

If anyone is interested could you help review the work(1)? Rather
than
fix it if you validate a tile and it appears not done could you
throw
it back into the "unfinished pile"? (Posting mapping suggestions
here
would be great as well, I've made a presentation which we will be
going over the suggestions on Friday(2)).

Thanks,
