Great, thanks Maning for filing the issue and triggering the merge, I had done this pull request almost a year ago [0]. To add any extra layer, you just have to copy paste the code and change the URL. Severin, for Yahoo, it may just be because the URL has changed since they initially added it. I will have a look.
