I've spent the whole of today struggling upstream on the River Severn on our narrowboat (Beta Marine 1-litre 3-cylinder engine) against the rainfall of Wales and the spring tide that overtopped Maisemore Weir. We managed 2.3mph at the best of times with the engine running full pelt.
I recommend this form of surveying to anyone unsure about the flow direction of the river. When you spend seven hours fighting it the flow is pretty apparent. cheers Richard -- View this message in context: http://gis.19327.n5.nabble.com/Waterway-Determining-Flow-Direction-tp5871280p5871317.html Sent from the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap (HOT) mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ HOT mailing list HOT@openstreetmap.org https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/hot
