Below are the details.* Title: Engineer Project Status: 11 Months Type: contract Location: MIDDLETOWN, NJ Job#137 *Project Description:* (What project will the contractor be working on?) The contractor would work on CDN (Content Delivery Network. The product name is ICDS. *Job Description:* (What will the contractor do on that project?) The contractors responsibilities would be in the systems engineering area as it relates to buiding out new capacity for CDN that changes the architecture (CDN or IP network that supports it), documenting network requirements in support of CDN (routing, failure scenario, peering, etc) and help develop a plan in support of End of Life - as varies solution elements might near end of l ife. Looking for expertese in one or more of the following areas: End to end technical service requirements for integrating CDN with an IP network Technical requirements for IP network on behalf of CDN (driving IP network enhancements in support of CDN) IP network (routing, peering, failure/survivability) CDN planning or operational or architecture or systems engineering experience Technical requirements for how to proactively manage CDN going forward ENd to End CDN performance (management framework, measurement methodology, providing leadership in selecting the right tool/service, end to end support/coordination of service affecting performance issues - especially with respect to network/routing/peering) The primary deliverables will be service requirements documents outlining technical plans, solutions, designs as well as assumptions. Leading cross functional teams to close on solutions/scenarios and options and complete various trade off analysis will be needed. Some Project Management might be required. Key skills include: excellent systems engineering skills (ability to negotiate and develop end to end solutions), excellent organizational skills to help pull large teams/complex deliverables, IP and/or web application or CDN background or Content Management backbround. Strong communication skills (written and verbal). Experience with IP or IP based distributed application planning is important.
