Yeah, extJS does seem to have a lot of nice pre-built functionality.
Thinking about it, Adobe's motivations are different than a developer
picking a library: they want a packaged, easy to support solution that does
A,B,C, and D. I don't think they've ever marketed it with the idea that you
could use the library they include as a library you can build on (though you
can). A general developer, however, wants a library that lets him/him add in
exactly what they need, without the bloat of what isn't needed - jQuery fits
the bill quite nicely. That said, if I had a project that required something
extJS had, and wasn't concerned about future expansion, I'd be very tempted
to look at extJS.
