Take Care, Seth Complete Description: The contract web developer will work directly with Internet Services staff and internal customers to develop new small-medium web applications or enhancements to existing web applications, using ColdFusion MX. Required skills: . Minimum five years web development using Adobe ColdFusion MX. . Working knowledge of Web protocols and standards including XHTML, CSS and Section 508 regulations. . Good communication and writing skills. Develops Internet applications over the entire application lifecycle with little or no supervision. Supervises/leads application developers on a project basis. Integrates existing Institutional applications/data into Internet-based applications. Assumes the role of a "technology resource" for the department and Institution. Assists the department in the development and maintenance of the web site including its infrastructure, security and performance. Leads the technical implementation and rollout of the web site content creation process; including guideline creation, distribution, training and support for content owners. Develops departmental coding guidelines/standards and reusable code segments. Analyzes and tests emerging technologies with an understanding of the applicability to the Institution. Maintains and expands working knowledge of the technical tools available to implement solutions.
