Houston Flash Builder Launch Tour! Adobe just released Flash Builder, and Flex 4. Join Techincal Evangelist James Ward as he takes you through the new tools and framework. He'll also answer any questions you have about the new release.
Date and Time: April 13, 2010 from 6:30pm - 8:30pm Address: Demers Banquet Hall 8225 Cantrell St. Houston, TX 77074 James Ward is a Technical Evangelist for Flex at Adobe and Adobe's JCP representative to JSR 286, 299, and 301. Much like his love for climbing mountains, he enjoys programming because it provides endless new discoveries, elegant workarounds, summits and valleys. His adventures in climbing have taken him many places. Likewise, technology has brought him many adventures, including: Pascal and Assembly back in the early '90s; Perl, HTML, and JavaScript in the mid '90s; then Java and many of its frameworks beginning in the late '90s. Today he primarily uses Flex to build beautiful front-ends for Java based back-ends. Prior to Adobe, James built a rich marketing and customer service portal for Pillar Data Systems. We are looking for a food sponsor, so please make sure to RSVP for this event. We will be having raffles and prizes at the event. And pass on the word to those you work with and other Flash / Flex Enthusiasts. And for you all that are trying to convince your bosses to buy Flash Builder, this FREE event is a good time to show off and see the productivity enhancements available. Plus this is sponsored by Adobe, aka cool swag (and rumors of free software). This event is hosted by Houston Adobe Users Group, Houston ColdFusion Users Group, and SpaceCity Flex Users Group. Location: Demers Banquet Hall is a brand-new location which is great for a variety of events including business meetings and conferences. The main hall has a 300-person capacity and has audio/video equipment. The conference rooms can be used for classroom-style presentations and can fit up to 60 people. Smaller groups are also welcome.
