James Husum, developer at NASA and Houston CFUG board member, will be
presenting this month.

James was one of Houston's representatives at the Open CF Summit held last
month in Dallas. He will us a recap of what happened at this conference -
there's a lot of great action going on with ColdFusion and the open source
world!

He'll also talk about a great open source framework - FW/1. FW/1 is the
latest framework from Sean Corfield, an open-source advocate and framework
expert (former lead developer for Fusebox and Mach-II, and contributor to
Transfer, ColdSpring, and Model-Glue.) The goal of FW/1 is bring the
benefits of MVC but lose the complexity and configuration that some of the
other frameworks out there have, and to stay true to ColdFusion's simplicity
and power. James will give us an introduction into this framework. A must to
hear, whether you're an OO expert, or are currently interested in what a
framework can offer to your development efforts.

The Bank of America Building is located in the Texas Medical Center, at the
corner of Holcombe Boulevard and Main Street. It's an 18-story white
building, with the Bank Of America logo on the side. The parking garage is
detached from the main building. Park in the lower level area of the garage
with signs denoting it as "Visitor Parking". Signage indicates there is a
fee of $6 to park, but this fee is being waived for Houston ColdFusion User
Group metting attendees.
