I am terribly opposed to session management.

Subject: [houcfug] anyone installed CF10...have you run across this

might wanna read this and go check your setup

I had CF9.x installed and did an update a couple months ago to CF10 (developer
edition). The install went as planned..nothing out of the ordinary. Pages
loaded fine, Administrator opened a showed 10 installed. I spent a few
months doing misc stuff, ythen today started building a brand new Fw/1 app.
The app kept logging me out when I went from one section to another (i.e: from
action=admin.default to action=main.default) and I didn't know why.   Several
hours of investigation and I discovered an issue I have that is a known issue
with CF10 installer.

http://forums.adobe.com/message/4541133

The article states that the CF10 installer leaves behind some handler mappings
in IIS from CF9. When I looked at my IIS, sure enough I had some mappings from
9 leftover. This means IIS has two sets of mappings for .cfm, .cfc, cfml
pages, one pointing to the CF9 isapi dll and one pointing to 10. Not sure how
IIS decided which one to use.

I did as the article suggests and deleted the old mappings and my pages then
took several minutes to load. Now I am just going to uninstall everything and
start over.

Just a heads up...

Mark
