POSITION SUMMARY Seeking qualified candidates for the position of Information Technology Web Developer, responsible for minor and major design, applications development, testing and delivery of website components, content and applications for the company’s internal websites. The capacity to configure and support implementation of various web server technologies, monitor website performance, and maintain domain registration is a requirement. As an IT Web Developer, qualified candidates will make decisions and take action to ensure the productivity, security and stability of the company’s global web presence and infrastructure. This position will work in Houston, Texas, USA and report to the Information Technology Manager. WORK EXPERIENCE Prefer five or more years’ experience designing and supporting web sites and applications in a large enterprise with international presence. May be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (e.g., IT certification), as appropriate. Experience must be web design and Information Technology related demonstrating the knowledge and skill requirements needed to perform the job activities listed. JOB ACTIVITIES · Assist in management of web data, server and security systems as dictated by the environment. · Collaborate on design of website layout and content for corporate websites. · Communicating with supervisors, peers, internal and external customers. · Configure, implement and troubleshoot a variety of web hardware/software products. · Coordinate change planning and formal change control process to systems in order to eliminate customer impact and to ensure availability SLA's are met. · Decision making and problem solving. · Design database driven and scalable website content. · Design to support multiple web browser mediums such as PC, tablet, mobile devices, etc. · Develop tactical and strategic plans, standards, guidelines and policies for the web resources based on growth and usage trends, available metrics, etc. · Effectively communicate corporate website goals and ideas throughout the organization. · Gathering, processing, analyzing, and documenting of data and information. · Help desk ticket resolution, support of business 7x24x365 and on-call support as needed. · Implement search engine optimization techniques to improve website rankings and visibility. · Implement localization on corporate websites. · Monitor, manage and register domain names. · Organizing, planning, and prioritizing workload. · Perform advanced monitoring and reporting related to web systems. · Proactively monitor and manage the service and security requirements of web systems. · Project planning and documentation as required. · Responsible for design of graphics and multimedia for corporate websites. · Thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. · Utilize storyboarding, flow charts and graphic pre-designs for proof of concept on projects. · Web applications troubleshooting and support. EDUCATION Undergraduate or Graduate Degree – bachelor’s degree in web design and development, internet marketing, visual communications, graphic design, digital media production, computer engineering, computer science, computer information systems, information science, information systems management, technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of web or graphic design and multimedia. All academic degrees and coursework must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions. KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS Adobe CS5 (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), Adobe ColdFusion Builder, Adobe Coldfusion Server Manager, Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Fireworks, and Adobe Flash.
