Bitnami makes it easy to deploy technology stacks; they prepackage an OS install you get you up and going in minutes (for instance, you could deploy a server running Wordpress without having to know how to install PHP, MySQL, etc…)
They don’t have a CFML stack yet. There’s licensing issue with Adobe CF, and they haven’t seen the demand for other engines apparently. Well, there’s currently a contest to determine the next stack, and Railo is in the lead: https://bitnami.com/contest I’d encourage everyone to vote. Even if you don’t use Railo, the easier it is to get up and running with CFML, the better it is for all CF engines. -- Billy Cravens [email protected] -- -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the "Houston ColdFusion Users' Group" discussion list.
