Well, that would indeed solve your need of having multiple instances (on CF10). 
And yep, it’s a bit more elegant in CF10 (in not having a different install 
mode. That said, the Enterprise Manager you see is indeed the same as you would 
have seen if you’d run CF9 in its multiserver mode.

Indeed, I have been mostly addressing the second part of your original request, 
which I thought was where your real challenge was:

"I now need to setup a second CF install to do some work for Company B.  That 
setup needs to be CF 9, Java 1.6, IIS, Multiple instances”


But happy if I have also helped with your planned use of CF10. :-)

Sorry I wasn't clear Charlie.  I have CF10 now.  I have never used or needed 
multi-instances, so I wasn't aware of the Enterprise Manager option.  That 
seems much more elegant than having different install modes.It seems to me that 
creating new instances on CF10, then having each instance set to a specific 
named site or even port in IIS might be the way to go.  I'll try that and keep 
you posted.
