Daniel,
this is a drop detector error. Your drop detector is either blocked-with
ink or faulty. Below is the response action out of the manual. You could
try to clean it out if you were getting weird and intermittent errors for
sometime - this would indicate that the d/d is not faulty just filling up
with ink. However if it has suddenly thrown this error up the chances are
more like the detector is faulty.
I've pasted in HP's diagram of where the drop detector is located. It's on
the right hand side of the plotter next to the print head cleaning
station. To get at it you will have to select replace print heads - when the
carriage has moved to the left side turn power off and you should be able
to find the detector. If you intend to have a go at cleaning it out
yourself take pecautions against getting ink on your skin, clothing and
floor covering.

Try the following:
-Check that the Drop Detector Cable is NOT broken or damaged.
-Check that the Drop Detector cable is correctly connected to the Service
Station Cable.
-Remove the Drop Detector and make sure that there are no obstacles inside
which are blocking the sensor.
-Replace the Drop Detector Assembly <../../sto4/sto41/stork_41_23.htm>.
-If the System Error Code continues, replace the Main PCA
<../../sto4/sto41/stork_41_28.htm>.
WARNING: Only replace one component at a time and check if the error has
gone before replacing another component. Using this procedure you will be
able to determine exactly which component failed.
