As the print head traverses across, the ribbon cable folds and flexes as it should do, but has started making a "clonking" noise as it slaps against the top of the printer casing. It appears to be a friction problem as it should slide freely inside the casing. Any suggestions? It is at its worst when it is moving fastest (draft quality). Makes you want to spray some silicone oil onto it - but I don't want to damage anything.
