I have a similar system, albeit with more RAM, I can print 13x19 images at 1200 dpi and it takes little over a minute for rendering, so, there is something definitely wrong in your situation. Check the cups error_log file, set LogLevel to debug in cups config file for greater detailed messages. Also, if you are using hp backend (hp:/usb/...) I would change it to the default usb backend for the URI and see if that makes a difference. If you don't see anything obvious, please post the error_log file. Raghu
