Hi,
I'm also having a similar problem with scanning on a PSC 1410 using the
HPLIP drivers in linux...
I'm running Gentoo (x86 computer). The HPLIP service is being started at
boot...
- Running "scanimage -L" doesn't detect any scanner. With debugging, the
hpaio backend doesn't appear to be tested.
- Running "sane-find-scanner" finds a "USB scanner" (PSC 1400 series)
- If I run "hp-info" and pass the "hpaio" uri as the device argument to
scanimage or xsane, then things work.
Why doesn't "scanimage -L" use the hpaio backend by default?
Thanks
-Alex
