If you are using the Debian packages, make sure you have the following
packages installed:

hplip hpijs-ppds hpijs foomatic-filters

Unfortunately the Debian ftpmasters are taking their time to add the new
0.9.11 packages, they are waiting in the queue for almost three weeks now.

Since it is a network printer, you can use either hp-setup <printer IP> or
hp-makeuri <printer IP>  (I don't recall if 0.9.10 has hp-setup) to get an
URI.  The printer will not be listed in CUPS automatically, because it is
not directly connected to a paralell port or USB port.

Add the URI as the AppSocket URI.

Yes, it won't find the printer because it can autodetect USB and parport
printers only.
