hallo Carlos I hope, I understand you properly. I only can tell anything from SuSE There you can download and install the rpm-packet "checkinstall"
It may be, you installed the hplip-1.6.10.tar.gz (or hplip-1.6.10.run) in /usr/local. (Then you find the original hplip under /usr/share) After you have installed the hplip-1.6.10.tar.gz (or hplip-1.6.10.run) in usr/local, cd into /usr/local/hplip and do "./checkinstall" After it has finished, you can find a hplip-*.rpm in /usr/pak ready for install (But pay attention, do the same as if you'll change the version of hplip) On this way I have for SuSE-10.0 a hplip-1.6.10-1.i686.rpm Arno dwelch91 schrieb: > I'm sorry to say that we have no experience with creating RPM files for > HPLIP.
