Hi Manuel,
You do this in Cups.
In your browser, go to http://localhost:631/printers Click on "Set
Printer Options"
that will take you to the printer settings page. Make the appropriate
selections,
Plain paper for Media Type and Normal for Printout mode. That should
give you better
output.

Where do I select this? If I'm using Gimp or if I'm sending files using
lpr, I'm unable to select anything.
