I have attempted to install hplip with your installer and have been

stalled on the following error:

warning: There are 1 missing REQUIRED dependencies.

note: Installation of dependencies requires an active internet connection.

warning: Missing REQUIRED dependency: libusb (libusb - USB library)

error: This installer cannot install this dependency for your distro/OS and/or
version.

error: Installation cannot continue without this dependency. Please manually
install this dependency and re-run this installer.

I am running Ubuntu 6.10 and have already installed hplip from their
repositories. I have libusb-0.1-4 ver. 2:0.1.12-2 installed as well. I was
under the impression that your installation application would uninstall the
existing hplip and re-install the new one. I tried re-installing libusb from
the Ubuntu repository and I still got the same error.

Any advice and guidance is appreciated.

Regards,

Rene
