The libsane-hpaio backend will determine the x/y geometry at runtime for SCL scanners. I have a PS 2710 that reports the same 381mm for the top-left y position. Looks like the all-in-ones based on this platform do not report the scan length correctly.
You can correct this by setting your x/y scan area with scanimage geometry commands (ie: -y 300). In xsane you can also set the page size in the preview window. Either method will eliminate the extra padded lines that results from the incorrect length. -dave > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf > Of Harald Nikolisin > Sent: Monday, February 05, 2007 4:27 PM > To: [email protected] > Subject: [Hplip-help] anybody has knowledge about scan device > parameters? > > It seems that nobody in the world make scans with an HP PSC > 2610 on Linux. > > The result of such a scan is still wrong, because you get > always an huge white area at the bottom.
