Dear Linux-Friends, I am not able to get the scanner device of my HP PSC 500 becomes recognized by my Suse 10.2 (64bit) Distribution. With yast2=hpaio do not recognizes any scanner (german message:hpaio Kein Scanner von diesen Treiber erkannt.)
The parallel port (LPT1=EPC + EPP in BIOS settings) works perfect with the printer part of the psc 500. After 2 days of researches I'm getting desperated.
