I have a HP PSC 1315 connected to a Linksys PSUS4 USB printserver. I can get
it to print from my Opensuse 10.2 box if I set up the printer via CUPS. But
nothing else works on the printer as I have to use th HPIJS driver and not
the HPLIP driver; I tried hp-makeuri --logging=debug 192.168.0.5 and it gave
me
hp-makeuri[32209]: debug: Trying IP address

hp-makeuri[32209]: debug: 'msg=makeuri\nbus=net\nhostname=

I can ping it fine
I also tried snmpwalk -Os -c public -v 1 192.168.0.5
1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.3.9.1.1.7.0 and got
Timeout: No Response from 192.168.0.5
anyway to get this to work?
