Jessica,
The HP DeskJet F340 should work great with ubuntu. If you are using Ubuntu
7.04 run hp-setup from a terminal to configure the printer and you should be
good to go. If you continue to have problems please let me know.

I have a HP DESK JET F340 all in one. I want to know if it is compatible
with Ubuntu. It says on the scanner sheet that it could, or at least
that what I think it said, I think you may just want to put in a row
that says "Compatible with Ubuntu" then says yes/no for semi tech
people. Anyway, I'd just like to know if I could hook this thing up
because it isn't getting detected automatically. Gnome would try to find
it after I clicked on add printers but then wouldn't work and I then
have to force quit. Now I may be so oblivious to how simple this answer
may be, but is my all in oner compatible? Because I don't know if it's
just me.
Thank you very much for your time, I will be awaiting your reply.
