Has anyone else had problems with mdns/slp printer detection with hplip
and iptables active?

I have absolutely no problem with iptables inactive, but with iptables
active, it just simply won't work. As best I can tell, iptables is
configured so that related traffic (in the case of mdns anyway) is
allowed through.

It appears to me that maybe iptables is doing something weird, as I can
see *some* Avahi discoveries fail. Reseting the firewall gets Avahi
happy again.

Any thoughts where to look next?
