Just installed the tarball 2.7.6 (update from 1.7.4a) on a SuSE 10.1
system according your installing instructions:
printing is still working, but scanning with kooka fails. kooka still
recognize a Photosmart 2600 scanner but the scan process was immediately
canceled.
calling toolbox brings following error:

TypeError: an integer is required
PS 1: There are no Parameter "-a" at the command "usermod"
PS 2: After updating to 2.7.6 there were still hpssid process on my
process list. I killed them manually..
