I am printing to an HP 6310xi from Ubuntu (feisty, hplip 1.7.3).

When printing a pdf from the evince pdf viewer (or from the hp-toolbox
application), if I set it to 2 pages per sheet, the pages get shrunk
down so much that the text is nearly unreadable. If I change the
scale percentage, it only makes it even smaller, or just moves the
pages around on the sheet. I tried checking 'fit to page' also, and
that made no difference.

If I set it to print a border around the pages, the border is near the
edge of the paper, so it does recognize the size of the sheet.

Also, if I select it to print 2-sided as well, it only prints 1-sided.

Really I just want to know if there is any way to print 2 pages per
sheet and have it fill up the sheet.
