I just wanted to say thanks to the developers of the hplip software, the current version works just wonderfully and I can hardly see the any advantages to using the printer in windows. I just purchased an officejet l7780 and it appears to be a real winner ()unlike my officejet 7110 that had problems right from the getgo). It is really wonderful to see companies such as Nvidia and HP that truly support the products they sell for the Linux Community and although not every product is going to be great ( example my 7110 ), the fact that Linux users can count on full software support for the products they buy regardless of what OS they use is wonderful. Even though I had problems with my old printer it was the fact that HP seems dedicated to helping Linux users with their products that led me to buying another HP!!!
