We
are seeking a highly motivated QA engineer with 8+ years experience in
software quality assurance. The engineer will be responsible for
testing a network, security and application monitoring product in fast
paced environment. The product is Windows based but manages a
diverse set of IT infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls,
servers (e.g. Linux, Solaris, AIX, AS/400, Windows). The primary
responsibilities will include developing test plans, debugging/diagnosing
complex problems/bugs, developing automation tests/infrastructure, and
conducting manual testing as needed. The hire for this position must
have a strong knowledge of Windows administration, including domain,
Active Directory, performance counters, registry and automation/scripting
in a Windows environment. Successful candidates must also have a
basic understanding of networking, with a proven ability to troubleshoot
connectivity/networking issues. An ideal candidate would also have
experience with Unix syslog, SNMP including traps, firewalls, programming
with Java or .Net, and/or experience with one or more automation tools
(e.g. Silk, Winrunner).
