Creates complex CAD models and detailed engineering drawings using NX/ Team center UA. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : § Primary role is to perform Mechanical Design activities as a Mechanical Designer. § Designs, develops and implements new products or changes in existing products. § Creates layouts of complex systems, designs and details piece parts, assemblies, mechanisms for Medical Diagnostic instruments using NX CAD application. § Position requires ability to conceive, design, detail and construct various mechanical components and assemblies using CAD program. § Must be experienced designing complex mechanical systems (ex: machine design). As such, must be experienced in designing structures and mechanisms (drive systems, bearings, etc). § Must be experienced integrating custom and commercial components into a finished product. § Must be knowledgeable in ASME Y14.5-1994 standard and be experienced using and applying Geometric Tolerancing (GD+T). § Must have the ability to define specific engineering implementations that are reliable, easy to use, cost effective, manufacturable and serviceable. § Must be familiar with a wide range of manufacturing processes including designing for machining, sheet metal fabrication, casting, and injection molding. § Must have the ability to perform engineering calculations, tolerance analysis, etc. in order to support design decisions. § Participates in maintaining detailed and comprehensive records of all inventive ideas, designs, and basic improvements. § Performs important areas of standard professional level work that typically requires processing and interpreting, more complex, less clearly-defined issues. *GOOD TO HAVE :* CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS GD&T certification preferred.
