Please let me know if you're comfortable with the below requirement ASAP. *Sr Automation Engineer * *Richfield MN* *12 month* *Telecom or retail / Mobile /android experience is a plus * *Responsibilities/Deliverables:* · Reports to Platform QA Manager · Collaboratively coordinates testing of program solution with business requirements & designs. · Responsible for automating functional as well as regression suite via QTP scripting, using keyword driven and data driven framework. · Responsible for automating webservices using QTP and Lisa Test. · Works collaboratively with integrated enterprise systems to complete end-to-end automated testing. · Develop, Maintain, and Execute test scenarios, both manual and automated. · Creates and maintains test plans, cases/scripts, traceability matrix and various testing checklists. · Responsible for platform environment validation throughout the deployment process. · Produces statistics and track metrics on QA testing against the plan and drive improvement ideas based on those metrics · Proactively work on automation roadmap and drive towards continual improvement of the automated regression testing suite. · Proactively identify ways to improve quality of the automated testing. · Work closely with Business Analysts, Architects, Project Managers, and Developers · Collaborate with other Mobile platform QA leads and develop automated testing strategies to create consistent, repeatable and thorough automated testing framework through Mobile. · Continuously improve QA practices to improve team’s productivity and product quality, including agile practices. MUST have skills: · Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field · 5+ years’ experience in Quality Assurance teams driving implementation and maintenance of automation and manual testing efforts · 5+ years in Quality Assurance and working within software industry in an Agile development environment, building web based systems. · Experience with cross-functional and remote teams for delivering quality products on a tight schedule. · Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical co-workers and customers · Knowledge of testing with web services and troubleshooting issues · The ideal candidate will have experience in the Retail market sector · The ideal candidate will have experience managing 5-8 concurrent projects · The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, capable of managing their own workload as well as the workload of others on the team. · Must be comfortable in an agile, fast-paced, evolving environment Required technologies and the depth of the technologies: · Testing in SOA (Rest/Soap) · Automated Webservices Testing using QTP /UFT · iTKO List Test and Virtualization (Nice to Have) · Driving implementation and maintenance of automation and manual testing– 5 years · Agile methodology background – 3 years · Backend/ db testing · Middleware experience · Experience in automating webservices using QTP Required · Good understanding of reading and modifying XMLs. · Knowledge of testing with web services and troubleshooting issues Required soft skills: · Candidate must have a strong personality, be able to take initiative, ask questions and make constant improvements and suggestions · Must be able to voice opinion and take charge when needed · Efficient · Produces high-quality work · Excellent verbal and written communication skills · Extremely organized and detail oriented, and can setup projects in a logical organizational manner and define just enough process for the teams to be successful. · Comfortable with ambiguity and logically solves problems, but escalates as needed · Drives teams to completion and consistently hits deadlines · Strong presentation and customer service skills · Must be willing to work under strict timelines and pressure. · Be willing to participate in offshore calls.
