*Location: Downingtown, PA* *Duration: 6 Months Contract (Extension Possible)* *Skills: Video Domain Knowledge (Cable)* *Job Description:* *Maintaining and operating a dedicated Cisco system* · Work with upstream Product, Architecture, and Engineering teams in the definition of a test plan, test cases, and test report within specified timelines. · Interfacing with vendors and internal customers on establishing deliveries, documentation, quality and entrance criteria for products. · Good resulting documentation and metrics with goals toward reducing test intervals and improving quality. · Work with CM and Lab Ops to ensure testbed readiness in advance of testing efforts. Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance. *Skills:* *Preferably, 3 - 5 years of experience in the cable industry field, or in another technical field* · Preferred B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field. The equivalent in directly related experience and self-study may be substituted. · Cisco/SA DNCS/EC Headend Experience · Familiarity with a variety of industry concepts, practices, and procedures are desired, such as Testing or a Product QA environment. · Work experience in Cable or an Engineering related field is also desirable. · CMTS – Arris, Cisco desired · Settop Boxes – Cisco, Pace, etc. · Understanding of separable security. · Experience in coding/scripting. · Experience working with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Visio. · Ability to operate in a fast moving, team-oriented, collaborative environment. · Video Transport Technologies would be a plus · Working knowledge of TCP/IP, Cisco routers, Load Balancers, SAN and NAS disk arrays, testing tools such as IXIA, HP Quality Center, WinRunner/QTP, and LoadRunner, and a basic understanding of Scripting, SQL databases, C++ and/or Java programming languages is a plus. · Ability to operate in a fast moving, team-oriented, collaborative environment. · Experience with large scale IP network and/or ISP are a plus.
