Kindly let me know if you are comfortable with the below mentioned job details: *Position: **RF Engineer* *Location: **Northridge, CA* *Duration: 6+ Months* *Requirements:* Design, develop and test analog, high speed digital and RF circuits in commercialized medical devices and automated test systems. Support the development of ultra-low power mixed signal ICs and microprocessor based medical products. Mentor and review the designs of less experienced engineers. Support Manufacturing in troubleshooting operations involving medical devices through assembly and test. Evaluate and select components, generate component specifications, as well as functional and test specifications. Produce circuit board schematics, circuit board layouts and associated documentation as needed. Research and implement new technologies to enhance product features, improve reliability, and lower cost. Provide technical assistance to other functional departments such as Product Development, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, Quality, Reliability and Manufacturing. *Basic Qualifications:* BS Electrical Engineering and 5+ years’ experience in digital, analog and RF circuit design *Strong knowledge of state of the art PCB fabrication technology (SMT, BGA, blind/buried/stacked microvia, etc.) and assembly.* Strong knowledge of schematic design and layout using CAD tools for PCB design such as Altium Designer (preferred), OrCAD and Cadence Allegro. Experience generating, reviewing and understanding formal engineering drawings and documents required for the fabrication and assembly of Printed Circuit Boards and Hybrids. Experience working with vendors and contract manufacturers for PCB fabrication and assembly. *Desired/ Preferred Qualifications:* MS Electrical Engineering and 5+ years in medical device design, ultra low power battery operated systems, or embedded microcontroller/microprocessor system design. Knowledge of RF circuit (DC to 2.4GHz) and antenna design Knowledge of the implementation of high-speed multimedia processors into embedded systems. Knowledge and experience in the application of multiple radios (including cellular) for an M2M (Machine to Machine) device application. Knowledge of optoelectronics and experience writing embedded firmware in assembly and/or C. Experience mentoring and reviewing the work of junior engineers. Experience working with minimal supervision. Mastery of basic laboratory instruments and tools (e.g. DMM, mixed signal oscilloscope, logic analyzer, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer).
