Java Front End Developer San Antonio, TX 4 month contract US Citizen or Green Card. Looking for a front –end developer. Minimum Requirements: Front End Developer (at least 3 years will take more /higher level within reason) JavaScript –have experience building customized frameworks using JavaScript IBM WebSphere Some core java programming but not much Worked with UI Producers/UI Designers before would be a plus Job Description: Experienced front-end developer in design and programming. Primary responsibility will be reproducing visual designs in standards-compliant, cross-browser-compatible HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Work with designers to create functional prototypes and with other developers to produce clean, accessible web applications which are delivered to mobile devices and desktop browsers. Bridging the gap between UI/UX design and technical implementation, taking an active role in helping to define how the application works as well as provide valuable feedback on how it looks and behaves. Responsibilities include to ensure technical feasibility of UI/UX designs, ensure cross-browser compatibility and accessibility, optimize front-end code for speed and scalability and collaborate with other team members and stakeholders. *Preferred* – top 3 are as listed. · 5 years of experience developing Java, Java Script. · 3 years of experience with IBM Websphere Application Server. · 2 years of experience XML, SQL, JSP. · Working knowledge of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). · 3 years of experience with structured analysis and design. · 2 years of experience with development projects in excess of 1,500 hours of effort. · Working knowledge with struts and hibernate frameworks. · Expert understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, including some experience with ES6 · Familiar with multiple CSS and JavaScript libraries and frameworks (YUI, jQuery, and ReactJS ideally) · Advanced debugging ability using browser developer tools, server logs, etc. · Proficient with code versioning tools (Git, SVN, etc.) · Good understanding of asynchronous request handling and resource loading · Basic experience with image editing tools (Photoshop, Illustrator) · Some experience with Java web applications is also ideal (JSP, Servlets, Struts, Apache Wicket Email is the best way to reach me.
