*Location :* Collegeville, PA

*Rate :* $42-43/hr on c2c

SQL Server Data Base Administrator (DBA) is responsible for providing
technical support for the Challenging Global database support environment.
DBA is challenged to work closely with various application development
teams & provide guidance / DBA support during the design, development and
deployment of database. DBA is responsible to Evaluate, Qualify and
implement the new technologies.

*Skills / Technologies :*
· 4-6 years of Microsoft SQL Server DBA experience
· Experience in *Production support* environment
· Excellent communication skills
· Experience with SQL Server 2005, SQL Server 2008 / R2, SQL Server 2012.
· Experience in Database Backup and Recovery tasks
· Experience in Log-Shipping, Mirroring, Replication & Monitoring tasks.
· Perform Day-to-day operational tasks that include storage management &
security management.
· Experience with *SQL Server Failover Clustering* is required
· Working knowledge on Backup tools like EMC NetWorker for SQL Server
module & Idera SQLSafe is a huge plus
· Experience on *T-SQL* and *scripting*
· Ability to understand the environment and start supporting it in very
short time.
· Good Understanding of ITIL processes


*Desired Skills : ·* Solid experience in performance tuning, Database
management and Database security
· Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and
practices
· Experience in disaster recovery and high availability solutions like
Clustering, Database Mirroring, Replication and Log Shipping
· Extensive Experience in supporting business Critical databases.
· Experience in qualifying new technologies & new versions is must
· Good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
· Good Technical documentation skills
· Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language
· Self motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail
· Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
· Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
· Desirable developer background with good experience in SQL coding and
tuning
· Understanding of the Windows Administration & Windows level Components is
a plus
· Experience with SCOM monitoring tool implementation & support is a plus
· Experience with Idera SQL Safe, Quest Lite speed backup tools is plus
· Experience in supporting databases for Microsoft applications like
SCCM/SMS, Messaging, Enterprise Vault, Share point is a plus
· Knowledge for Change control of process, Ticketing process is a plus
