*Positoin Title: QA Engineer/ MANUAL Tester* *Location: Phoenix, AZ* *Duration: Long Term* *Rate: Open* *Note: GC and USC * *Job Description:* BS in Computer Science or equivalent technical training and professional work experience 9+ years in fast-paced software development company in a technical QA role Track record in testing interdependent and distributed backend systems 5+ years of hands-on experience in manual with designing Test plan, writing test scinarios, Test cases and execute them, Tracking bugs with bug reporting tools Familiarity with Agile Development Lifecycle like Scrums, Sprints, Epics and User-stories, Retrospective is required Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Lotus Notes applications, MS Project, PCAnywhere, Bugzilla, Microsoft SQL Server, JIRA, Rally, SOAP, HP Quality Center 8, 9, and 10 and 11 (ALM), Sharepoint, VM Ware – Vcloud. Build and Deploy the code and DB changes to several different environment (such as Test Servers, Staging Servers, and Live servers) Experience in managing/setting-up cloud based test environments is a plus Ability to absorb, understand and communicate written and verbal information and ideas, and to deliver in a concise manner that is easily understood by others. Ability to apply critical thinking to identifying the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Proficient with web-based testing (White box, Black box, Unit testing, Functional testing and Regression testing) based on Functional Spec Ability to determine when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. This may involve solving the problem, and recognising that there is a problem. Ability to work in company-provided work area and equipment, and can access tools and equipment as needed. Ability to apply knowledge and principals to specific problems to produce answers and to combine disparate information to form general conclusions or recommendations. Ability to absorb new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.
