*Job Title: Network Engineer* *Location: Denver, CO* *Duration: 12 months* Job description: Position will be responsible for the implementation and/or implementation oversight, configuration documentation, operational support and troubleshooting, and/or analysis of/on Kaiser’s Enterprise WAN Network/Environment (this may include MPOE and access facilities, carrier infrastructure networks, WAN, LAN, data, IP-voice, and video communications & network). Implement engineering standards & guideline templates, prepared detailed site designs for network and telephony solutions (WAN for support of LAN, PBX, voice messaging, call processing, and other telephony related applications). Consult with business partners to develop options consistent with standards, recommendations & associated cost benefits, and provide engineering design for implementation. Research and assess and pilot emerging technologies. Oversee, certify, and assist in implementation and support of enterprise-wide network, including governance of managed services providers. Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field and/or a minimum of 4 years of equivalent work experience. • A minimum of 8 years of network and/or telecommunications engineering experience. • Advanced knowledge (broad expertise or unique knowledge) of policies, practices and systems. • Develops advanced concepts, techniques, and standards. • Strong systems level understanding for technologies across Information Technology (IT). • Develops new applications based on professional principles and theories. • Applies advanced principles, theories, and concepts. • Contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas.
