I seem to be having a problem with date specific searches and the use_doc_date attribute in the new 3.1.6 release of ht://Dig - the files which I am indexing contain a header like so:
<meta name="Date" content="2002-02-06"> and the configuration file I am using has the following line: use_doc_date: true but I still get back files based on the modification date instead of the meta Date tag. Am I using the wrong format for the meta tag? The following search: http://xxxxxx.mitre.org/cgi-bin/htsearch?words=XXXXXX&restrict=directory/subdirectory&startday=7&startmonth=2&startyear=2002 returned a file with the meta tag above. Anyone have any ideas what I am doing wrong? My apologies for not perusing the source code, but I am not at all familiar with C++, so my initial searches came up with nothing useful. Thanks in advance.
