This may actually be a shell resource requirement, rather than a database
problem. If you run a ksh, or something, do:
sh
unlimit
Then run whatever it was you were running. I had the same problem with
htstat; sh unlimit command solved it for me. You may want to include the
unlimit command in your runding script as well;)
