Very few programs should run as root, most run as a non-privielged user. For this reason we should strive towards making ht://Dig run as a non-privileged user if it does not already do it.
At the moment I don't see where htdig needs root privs, so starting 3.2.0b6 I'll create a separate system user (htdig) all te programs can run as
