   thank you very much. I tried the configure/make/make install triad
and it worked fine. However, 'make check' had some problems, due to a
particular apache installation (I have apache 2.0 and tests can't find
mod_env.so).

I included them into the automake files (they should be automatically
handled); then Lachlan did a great job in customisation of the man pages
content.

Regarding man pages, I also want to thank Robert for his contribution.
