I haven't specified it in my htdig.conf file, so it must be the default
10000000.

I did vary that from 0, 1024, 2048, and 4096. The optimum number happens
to be 2048 in my system; however, when it comes to compression and no
compression my system performance has been consistently better with
compression, regardless of this factor.

RAID 5 10K RPM, 1" Ultra3 (Ultra 160) SCSI Hard Drives.
