First of all, please direct your questions to the htdig mailing list,
[EMAIL PROTECTED], rather than to me personally.
I don't have a whole lot of time anymore to devote to ht://Dig.

My recommendation would be not to bother with parse_doc.pl, as experience
has shown that it can be more trouble than it's worth.  Instead, make
sure you're running htdig version 3.1.5, and use an external converter
script like conv_doc or better still, doc2html.  You can get them from:

   http://www.htdig.org/files/contrib/parsers/

or

   http://htdig.europeanservers.net/files/contrib/parsers/
