I would like to use htdig to build up an information system by indexing web based documents on certain topics which would allow the user to: (1) search those sites using htsearch (that's what it already does) and (2) to browse information based on hierarchical subject trees automatically created based on the indexed information. I thought that this may be achieved by using a thesaurus which would allow to 'place' the results into this hierarchical structure based on the information indexed. I wonder whether htdig could be used to do such things or would there be any need to do develop such functionality. Any hints ideas would be appreciated.
