Hello,
I'm sorry if this is the wrong forum for my question, but I've not
found the answers in the FAQ, my local distrib. or the net...
I'm newcomer to htdig and am very keen to use it for our many virtual
hosts.
I've done a build/install of htdig-3.1.5 ( htdig-3.2.0b1 couldn't get
that to compile out of the box and haven't had a chance to see what's
wrong). I've left everything in the default /opt/www tree. For each
virtual host, I've written a separate htdig.conf and made a directory
in /opt/www/htdig/db/.
Now, the first time I ran rundig with -v and -c options I got
a lot of output and everything under ${start_url} seemed to be nicely
indexed and I could search for and find what I expected, where I expected
it.
Then I added a few HTML files and ran rundig with -v and -c options.
This time it only gave me a few lines of output and my new files
didn't seem to turn up in the listing.
So I made sure that the "-i" option was in rundig and even erased the
whole database tree for this domain. Ran rundig again and got the same
brief output!!! This is strange - it's as if it has a secret database
somewhere!!
Any help would be much appreciated.
Bard
