Hi,
I am running Apache 1.3.12 on a Red Hat Linux 6.2 server for our
intranet server.
I have been using htdig 3.1.5 as the search engine.
Having some trouble re-writing URLs using the 'url_part_aliases'
directive.
My problem is : A URL like
http://my.server.com/news/comp/lang/general/1234 from the database
should be made available through the search as
http://my.server.com/newsportal/article.php3?group=comp.lang.general&id=
1234
I am using the directive url_part_aliases for my 'htsearch' as follows:
url_part_aliases: http://my.server.com/news/comp/lang/general/*

http://my.server.com/newsportal/article.php3?group=comp.lang.general&id=
*
However, this doesn't seem to work.
Actually, the documentation on 'url_part_aliases' is very limited and
not enough examples are given.
Does it always require the url_part_aliases directive to be present for
both htdig and htsearch ?
I feel that I should be able to work with it present in just htsearch's
conf. file.
Any help on this will be appreciated.
