Thanks, yes, I revisited that while comtemplating what might be going on
at the server end to cause the loop but by that time I had already added
".html/" to the exclusion list to make sure it didn't happen next time. As
I don't have any control on the server I think "the second option" will be
the permanent solution. Perhaps I'll add ".shtml/" and ".htm/" as a
precaution against future grief.
