Well, I downloaded the patches from ftp.ccsf.org myself to make sure they weren't corrupted, and they're exact copies of the patches I posted. They're standard unified diffs, and they apply just fine on my Red Hat 7.2 system which has the very same version of patch as you reported above. I can only guess that somehow the copies you downloaded have been corrupted somehow (did they get ftp'ed via a non-Unix/Linux system in text mode?), or perhaps the patch command wasn't built right on your system (which system is this?). -- Gilles R.
